Welcome Home!

After a year serving in Afghanistan, my brother, Donny is finally home! Last Friday he arrived safely in Utah, and by Saturday afternoon, he was outprocessed and officially done with his tour to the Middle East. I can't even begin to say how excited I am to have him home and safe! He is such a hero in my eyes, as he performed his duty to his country with a willing heart and came home a successful soldier. Luckily his tour didn't see too much action, and his unit wasn't involved in many altercations - so his only war wound is a minor injury to the finger, which has fully healed, - but still a good story he can share to all the ladies! In just over a week he will return to California for another round of language training, but this time in Japanese. When he finishes next July, he hopes to enroll at the University of Utah (yes, he is a traitor - Go Cougs!) for the fall semester as a junior. I'm so proud of him for knowing what he wants to do and getting right back into it all. Welcome Home, Bud! We are so proud of our Hero!
