Too cute for words!

Just before Valentine's Day Sam had her very first school talent show - the first of many I'm sure. A few weeks ago she came home with a paper about try-outs for the talent show, which were going to be held that same day right after school. Good thing we had plenty of notice! Sam was super excited! I wasn't too big on the idea since I had no idea what to come up with in only a few hours time, and despite my attempts to dissuade her, she was adamant about doing it! Luckily, she has a darling little friend in her class, Ally, who also wanted to participate in the talent show, and the girls decided to do a little singing/dancing duet. Thanks to my sweet friend Heidi, Ally's mom, the girls had a little something put together in time for the try-outs. After an hour of practice, we went to the try-outs and were put on the program for the talent show. Both girls were ecstatic! - Pretty much any kindergartner who came to try-outs was in the talent show, but we let the girls think it was their superior abilities that got them in! :) So, for the next couple weeks we tweaked the little routine and got the girls together as often as we could to practice.

So now, for all of you who are dying to see this masterpiece, I give you "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" performed by Alexandra Hicks and Samantha Hansen:

(Don't forget to pause my music so you can hear them singing)

I am so proud of these two little girls. They were so cute and had no stage fright at all. It was so fun to watch them - and in my totally unbiased opinion, their routine was definitely one of the best ones of the night!!

Sam all dressed up and ready to go. She even insisted on a little bit of make-up and sparkles!

Sam and Ally right before the big performance.
I just love this one because of the boys' faces. They crack me up!

I randomly clicked onto your blog from Susie's. The minute I saw your picture I thought--That looks a lot like my long-lost friend Kelsey! And guess what--it is!!!
Maybe you remember me, maybe not :)
I would say I was more of Katie's friend, but I certainly remember you and how much I loved hanging out with you! My maiden name was Emily Busath (Murdock now).
You have a beautiful family. I hope everything is going well for you!!!

PS We'd love to have Donny's address to write to him. I'm sure my 6-yr-old son would love to write to a soldier.
If that is OK could you send it to my email please?
