Happy 2009!

Happy New Year Everyone! We hope this New Year finds everyone happy, healthy, and excited for a new beginning! Resolutions anyone?? Yes, of course I have my own as well, but I think I better keep them to myself for now - but if I am successful, I will be sure to let you hear all about it! :)

So yes, it's only taken me about a week into the New Year to get updated, but hopefully I'm not the only one who feels like I'm playing catch up right now. It seems I just haven't quite gotten back on track since the holidays. In my defense, Mike and I have been working on a few home improvement projects lately that have take up a bit of our time. Yeah, one resolution we are actually working on!! We do have a completed bathroom to show for our efforts and are currently working on our bedroom. Baby steps all the way! We decided to take things one room at a time, completely reworking that whole room, then moving on. At least that way I will have a few rooms in the house that actually look nice. Right now I can honestly say that my favorite room in the house is my downstairs bathroom. Pathetic, I know, but it's a start!

As for New Years news, well, as many of you probably notice, no pictures for this blog - shocking I know, but I did get my new camera for Christmas (that I have been playing with a lot) and just haven't gotten around to downloading the software onto the computer yet. So, once I do, you will be bombarded with photos! For instance, the one of the kids banging pans on New Years Eve - and a second later coming back inside because they decided it was too cold. Yep - they got to stay up all night until it was New Years and then decided they were too tired and cold to really celebrate. Oh well, there's always next year I guess. So, in a nutshell, our New Years celebration was pretty uneventful - some games, a movie, a toast, a few bangs on the pots and pans, and then bed time! I can't even say I got to sleep in the next morning - nope they were all in my room and ready to go by 6:30 am! Don't you just love those childhood internal clocks!

And life continues as normal!
