No, I don't have any wonderful pictures of my kids from this 4th of July. There wasn' t anything too excting to record. We spent the morning at the pool, then had a little BBQ at home and went to the "Let Freedom Sing" activities here in Parker and watched the fireworks. The kids had been so excited about the fireworks for days and actually did a really good job being patient while waiting for them to start. It was a pretty good show, and of course the
kids loved it. When we got home Mike had a few fireworks of our own to let off - don't worry, nothing illegal - and yes, we even had the good old traditional sparklers! It's nice that we have a holiday once a year when we think it is ok for 3 year olds to play with fire! At least all fingers, toes, and eyes are in tact - for one more year at least. What I do have, are a few pictures from Sam's 4th of July celebration she had at school a few weeks ago. She got invited to attend a 4 week summer school program, and they had a little party and parade right before the 4th of July to celebrate America. They painted all the kids faces, made hats, flags, and tamborines, and marched around the school singing "Yankee Doodle" and "Fire cracker, fire cracker, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM". I love her preschool program and all th
e fun things they do. Sam always comes home singing new songs and asking tons of questions. I'm so exctied by how much she loves school. Hopefully that love and excitement for learning won't diminish too soon.
Her teachers were sweet enough to paint the boys faces too after all the other kids left. As you can see, Kaders was not feeling very well that day. Definitely not my happy camper!
